Refund and cancellation policy
How to cancel, when we refund, and what happens to your work afterwards.
Paid plans are not open yet. This policy is published now so it can be read before anyone subscribes; it applies from the day paid plans open.

1. The free plan
The free plan costs nothing, requires no card and cannot be charged for. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. You may close the account at any time.
2. Cancelling a paid plan
You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or by writing to contact@stringifyai.com. No notice period and no reason required.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep full access until then. We do not switch off a plan mid-period.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not delete your account or your work — see section 5.
3. Refunds

We would rather refund an unhappy customer than argue. If your circumstances are not in the table above — a grant that did not come through, a lab that closed, a purchase made in error — write to us and ask. We read these ourselves.
4. How refunds are made
Refunds go back to the original payment method. We process them within 7 working days of approval; how long the money takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, typically a further 5–10 working days.
Where Goods and Services Tax was charged, it is refunded with the principal amount. A credit note is issued where required.
5. What happens to your work
Cancelling does not delete anything. When the paid period ends:
- Your account becomes read-only. You can still sign in, view, search and export.
- Files linked from your own storage are untouched.
- Copies of files you asked us to keep are held for a further 90 days, then released. The record keeps the reference and the fingerprint.
- Previews and extracted data are removed after 12 months of dormancy, and regenerated automatically if you come back.
- Your record — runs, claims, history, approvals — is not deleted.
Export is free and always available, including after cancellation. One click, no request, no charge. If leaving cost money, nothing else we say about trust would mean much.
6. Closing your account entirely
If you want everything removed rather than kept read-only, ask us at contact@stringifyai.com and we will delete the account and its contents. This cannot be undone. Export first. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten, and we retain what tax and accounting law requires.
7. Institutional and multi-year agreements
Where a separate written agreement is in place, its cancellation and refund terms take precedence over this policy.
